On Saturday and Sunday morning April 06- 07, 2013, Delhi was greeted by about 100 volunteers donning caps, geared up to carry out a cleanliness drive on a patch of 3.5 kilometers on S, J and R blocks of Khirki Village, Malviya Nagar. This Clean-O-Carnival was organized by SWECHHA - WE FOR CHANGE FOUNDATION partnered with SMILYO EDUCATIONAL CHARITABLE SOCIETY ® Delhi’s First Clean-O-Carnival was a witness to not only great support from the authorities and residents but also two days filled with energy, enthusiasm and of course. Constant clean up! The group of local citizens, school children swept the area that is predominant a fish market and residents of the kolis who live in slums and small brick houses. Attractions were Nukkad Natak, Magic and Trashion shows, Puppetry, Theater, workshops, dance and constant CLEAN UP.
